This organization is a well rounded professional association that focuses on careers in the field of Criminal Justice. We are academically focused and open to all majors and genders interested. We participate in numerous activities such as community service, intramural sports, socials, scholarship events and many more throughout the year.

As October comes to an end, we reminisce on all the amazing events hosted by LAE. But the ones that stand out the most were our breast cancer awareness events. This month, LAE attending the pink out soccer game for FSU and collected money for breast cancer research. We are very proud of our contributions to this cause. In October, we wear pink!

Last but certainly not least is Ashley Funes. Ashley joined LAE in Spring 2022, making her our longest active member this past year, and truly one of the most unforgettable. Since day one, she has been at the center of everything, serving as our Banquet Chair, Vice President, and President. But titles do not even begin to capture how much she has done for this organization. Ashley is an incredible leader, someone who leads with compassion, patience, and a deep sense of fairness. She is the type of person who makes everyone feel welcomed and supported the moment they walk into the room. Her dedication to LAE and to every single person in it has left a lasting impact. Kind, approachable, and always willing to go the extra mile, Ashley has been the glue that held us together and the spark that pushed us forward. We are so lucky to have had someone as amazing as her leading the way. Thank you for everything, Madam President, LAE will always be better because of you.

Every single person in the LAE family is what made my college experience so unforgettable. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for letting me serve as your Communications Chair, it has truly been an honor. You’ve truly given me my home away from home.

There is no doubt in our minds that she is going to make an amazing medical examiner one day, we cannot wait to see her thrive!
